For those new to Grails, you'll get a chance to build a Grails application
from scratch. For those seasoned G&G folks, we'll get into some of the new
features of the 1.1RC1 release as highlighted in the overview below. Please
take some time to minimally download The Grails 1.1RC1 release binary
package and the Netbeans JEE package for your laptop's OS.
I also have some additional info to share for the group:
- Looking for Grails work? I have info for a company looking for a 100%
telecommute Grails app developer with some mobile device experience.
- Discount on GroovyMag (http://www.groovymag.com/main/). GroovyMag is a
great way to keep up with the latest in the Groovy/Grails world.
- DevNexus - local conference coming up in a couple of weeks. Lots of
great sessions on RIA and Java dynamic languages. Sign up here:
http://www.devnexus.com/ I'll also be giving a session entitled "Dynamic
Languages in the Enterprise" at DevNexus.
Let me know if you're planning on attending this month's meeting so I can
have enough power strips, cables, etc. Here's the full outline for this
month's meeting. Hope to see y'all there!
