[ajug-members] Social Networking in the workplace

Thank you for the many great replies.

It is interesting because via "social networks" like Facebook, Twitter and
LinkedIn, a LOT of intellectual property is being "leaked" into the world at
large. The same is true of employee's resumes. Right?

If you were interested in what company X is doing, they are your top
competitor, you can sift through all of their employees posted resumes,
linkedin profiles, tweets and facebook updates and develop a decent
understanding of what company X is working on. Plus you can better
determine which employees are ripe for the taking.

Is there an online company that specializes in this form of "corporate
espionage"? If not, let's start one, this will be a killer startup. :-)

Pay us $100 a month for automated "news clippings" - like what the CIA does
for the senior members of the gov't - you will know when the CEO of your
competitor is having a bad hair day. :-)
