[ajug-members] woops, java object allocation and memory

why does the free-memory not change much with object allocation? - i keep playing with this and don't see it... 
 this is from a question in a java book i have about how objects that are only allocated are garbage; would there not be more variation in the free memory that that attached screenshot displays?
