I think you'll see posts that all come to the conclusion that 99.9999999% of
the time there wouldn't be any reason to extend Thread. The only practical
times would be if you wanted to create your own Thread class with some
customized behavior in it and then people could use your new Thread class.
The scenario I'm sure is very slim for the majority of developers.
