My company used to run JBoss MQ for our production JMS. We switched
over to ActiveMQ 5.x about 6 months ago, but have had quite a few
stability issues (mostly due to known bugs in ActiveMQ) since then.
We started on 5.0.0 and switched to 5.1.0. This fixed many problems
we were having (such as the JMS broker going haywire and having to
restart it occasionally), but we still have been less than satisfied
with the quality and stability of the 5.x series of ActiveMQ for high-
throughput messaging.
So while we haven't completely given up on ActiveMQ, I am still
interested to know what other people out there are using for open-
source JMS (or even affordable commercial implementations). Is anyone
running ActiveMQ 5.x successfully? What about OpenMQ (https://mq.dev.java.net/
), ZeroMQ (http://www.zeromq.org/), JORAM (http://
joram.objectweb.org/), or standalone JBoss Messaging? (http://www.jboss.org/jbossmessaging/
)
Thanks,
Jeremy
