While on some level the low level details involved in the scjp are interesting to me, it is still rather dry to memorize operator rules, api functions, and so forth.
I was already writing new Java code professionally 40+ per week when I studied for the test. Even still I found it necessary to memorize stuff.
I formed a study group to make studying a social event. The social aspect makes other difficult things in life easier like exercise and studying academic topics like math. It keeps you on a schedule as well.
Outside of that I found the Test simulators to be the most helpful. I liked the one that I bought from JQPlus. Pretty cheap to.

Does anyone have their scjp? If so, will you please summarize briefly how the test is/is-not difficult?
