I just started working with Struts as well.  I am using the DOJO toolkit to implement some dynamic AJAX behavior.  Check out DOJO, it has a lot of interesting features that integrates with the STRUTS environment.

I am developing a struts application and would like to use ajax for some of the controls. What I need is recommendation for good ajax frameworks which can be easily integrated into a struts environment. Also, since I am new to AJAX, can someone point me to some good tutorials in using ajax in a struts environment. The examples that I have run across all show struts actions creating the presentation layer as well as processesing the request. After showing this to my manager, he felt that this does not work well since he wants the presentation built and rendered on the client side.
