The local IASA chapter is wonderful. I have been to most of the
meetings, and they have consistently been good, thought-provoking, and
had some pretty lively discussion. Like with anything that Burr
organizes, it is top-notch.
As far as the national organization goes, it is still in its birthing
stages. A lot of work is going on, but so far the value proposition
is more in the networking than in the artifacts. Which isn't to say
that there's not information to be had, they have produced some
worthwhile output. I think that in the next couple of years it will
grow into something pretty exciting.
