[ajug-members] Subversion + WebSVN question

Hello,

This is mainly a source control question and just thought of checking if anyone had any feedback.

We have been using VSS as the source control for all our development and are evaluating Subversion as a potential replacement. We did some basic branching and authentication (using Apache) exercises with SVN, and find it much better than VSS so far. Considering that we will have some off-shore developers accessing the repository, we have been looking at some of the web clients out there, like WebSVN and ViewVC. From the documentation, it looks like WebSVN supports the Subversion authentication/access model, so I'm trying to get that up and running. Following is the online resource that talks about setting up the security model that is pretty much similar to what we need to achieve:

http://svn.matroska.org/svn/www/trunk/svn.matroska.org/WebSVN/install.txt

I tried following the steps as mentioned, and I can access http://<HOSTNAME>/websvn/index.php, which shows a link to my repository name, but that link acts as a recursive link, bringing me back to the same page but slightly different stylesheet, mainly it takes me to:

http://<HOSTNAME>/websvn/index/<NAME_OF_REPOSITORY>/?sc=0

Does anyone know about an online reference about integrating WebSVN, Apache and SVN? Greatly appreciate your time.

(By the way, I was not able access my repository directly using http://<HOSTNAME>/websvn/<NAME_OF_REPOSITORY> OR http://<HOSTNAME>/websvn as mentioned in the doc)

Thanks
-Yogesh
