Responsibilities:

>From Base Pricing and Flex Shopping will migrate Delta's current pricing
engine to the next generation across all Delta's distribution channels for a
better overall customer experience

Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain business requirements for various
projects and/or systems from initial phase to final implementation, assuring
requirements meet standards.

of project.

Troubleshoot, coordinate, and maintain production systems/programs/
applications, as needed.

Assist in the development of project definitions, cost/benefit and risk
analysis, work plans, progress reports, and presentations. Take an existing
system's source codes and develop High-Level and Detailed Business
Requirements.

Business Support

Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports as necessary. Assist in maintenance and
communication of project status reports and tracking. Assist in establishing
end user training. 

Technical Skills

-------------------

Understand business requirements in order to provide the technical design of
computer software.

Possess programming expertise in Java programming languages in order to
develop and maintain computer software. Develop appropriate software and
documentation according to Delta Technology standards. Support and
troubleshoot computer systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving
problems, and providing timely follow up on all problems. Follow Delta
Technology standards and methodologies in the development and implementation
of computer software. Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming.
Client and Server module development. Possess programming expertise in C++
programming languages in order to develop and maintain computer software.
Possess programming expertise in packaging for electronic software
distribution of client software. Possess programming expertise in
event-driven computing. Possess programming expertise in message-oriented
computing. Possess programming expertise in Open Systems computing
environment. Possess programming expertise in Open Source computing
environment. Possess programming expertise in web-based computing
environment.

Project Planning

-----------------

Has thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
(Feasibility, Requirements, Analysis, Design, Construction, Testing,
Implementation, Support). From the project scope, works with team members to
establish the initial work estimate.

Project Management

-----------------

Tracks and communicates project progress and status, using relevant levels
of communication for all interested parties. Monitors project risk and
manages balance between risk and issues.

Business Acumen

-----------------

Working knowledge of the travel/transportation industry and the airline's
position within this industry. Understands Delta Air Lines' unique position
within the travel/transportation industry as commonly known through public
sources. Understands the basic information flow within the airline industry
and its supporting infrastructure (GDS, ATPCO, IATA, Agencies, etc.).
Understands the working relationship between Delta Air Lines, Delta
Technology, Worldspan, and other parties commonly engaged at Delta Air
Lines.

Technology Development Acumen

Has a basic understanding of Delta's use of its TPF, OSS, distributed, and
web-based computing systems across business functions. Familiarity with
common development practices necessary to manage and maintain
enterprise-class computing solutions. Understands role of common services
and the need to engage "matrix teams" within the Delta Technology computing
environment. Has experience in delivering part of a development project
within at least one style of computing. 

Engages technical and application architects to ensure that system and
project dependencies are reflected in overall work effort.
