Our target date is May 25th at the Cobb Galleria.
We already have Jim Waldo (one of the founders of Jini) and Roger
Kaitin (Sun) along with presentations on JSF (www.jamesholmes.com) and
Eclipse lined up.
I'm presently working very hard on getting our initial marketing for
the event put together and we'll hopefully have a better idea about
the agenda in another 10 days or so.
This will be our biggest event yet with over 300 expected
participants. Please put the 25th on our calendar as I'll be getting
the contracts signed this week.
I've still got to run the Galleria's numbers through a spreadsheet but
the fee will be right at $75 again. Plus we'll do a better job of
breakfast this time around!
Please also consider how you might help us by promoting this event
within your company. Atlanta's largest corporations are very
under-represented in the local Java community. Many organizations
(with real name-brand recognition) either don't know or don't care
about what we are trying to do here in Atlanta. So, I'm looking for a
few volunteers who will specifically help with getting some traction
in organizations who know little about AJUG and our conference.
Keep in mind, we also have our architects group for those most senior
technologists around Atlanta as well. If you know of any senior
architects in Home Depot and Bellsouth I would love to hear about
them.
Burr
