We add our .project and .classpath files to version control. When we
pull the project from SVN, it just works.
You can also export/import all of your Eclipse preferences which is
nice. In Eclipse choose
FIle -> Export -> General -> Preferences -> Check Export All ->
Click Finish
Reverse the process to import into a new workspace.
