I used the book "Java Management Extensions" by J. Steven Perry. This book
is simple to read but detailed. Once I understood the basics, I used
Spring documentation to learn how Spring can be used in conjunction with
JMX. I would recommend using JMX along with Spring, if you are already
using Spring. We use MX4J to build a custom frontend to invoke operations
on the mbeans.

Hi all! I have a need to build out some application management
functionality in my current project, so I am searching out good
resources for the topic of JMX. Does anyone endorse a particular book
or tutorial? By endorse I mean "this is what I used" or "my team uses
this and I don't think they're on crack", not "I, too, Googled and found
the following results". Thanks!
Regards,
