[ajug-members] Book Suggestions

There are tons of books out there that aim to teach us about languages or applications but I'm having a hard time finding books that will make me a better programmer in general.  I plan to buy "The Pragmatic Programmer" and already have "Design Patterns" (GoF) and "Code Complete, rel. 1" but what other books are available that you would suggest?  For those that have read it, is it worth updating to "Code Complete, rel. 2"?  I'm open for anything including textbooks.
