[ajug-members] OT: consultant incorporation tips / resources?

There's a whole argument about self-incorporating or getting a service to do
it for you. A buddy of mine used a service and you should be able to find a
decent one for around $300. If you file in GA, then I don't see any benefit
to paying extra. It's not expidited, just done for you. If you don't like
following rules and regs and stuff, then I question your programming ability
:)

You can follow these instructions for a GA corp-
http://www.sos.state.ga.us/corporations/filing_procedures.htm
It takes about an hour to fill everything out. Then count on another hour
for an EIN, another hour for department of labor and time to open your bank
account.

What you're paying for with a service is 1-2 hours of a professional's time
to file all the forms for you. My accountant gave me all the free advice I
needed and included it in my annual filing fee ($500). I can refer you to
her if you have specific questions.
