[ajug-members] Study Group: ajug-scea: Chapter 7: IntroductingtheSpring Framework

I would encourage developers to attend one or a couple springframework 
meetings.  Thanks for initiating them.

To let Monday's attendees know I have the springframework running and now 
I'm customizing it.  I have not delved into the mvc piece of it yet but 
that's next.  (I started from the spring in 4 steps tutorial).  I'm using 
the commons dbcp for my datasource and this is totally cool.  I plug my 
classes into it using the spring FileSystemXmlApplicationContext class.  I'm 
able to write my code to 'set' the datasource in my dao classes and give me 
a pooled connection via that datasource!  My command line code and what I 
deploy will not change!  I will configure it differently but that's just in 
one file.

I compare Spring, in the java world, to Martin Luther posting his 
these/papers on the Wittenberg Castle Chruch!  And since I am a protestant 
to that suits me just fine. :-)
