Background
We are a well funded startup with with an established client, building a REST based SOA platform for the health care industry. We are seeking talented engineers to help us build a world class web application platform. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting highly available and distributed applications in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
 
Description
•	All new development, no legacy codebase
•	An exciting position based on SCRUM principles

•	Make use of tools : Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bonfire, SVN, IntelliJ, OSX, Apache, Tomcat, PostreSQL
 

Qualifications
•	Expert in Java
•	Experience with Spring
•	Experience with Grails, Rails, Python, web services, web security
•	Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2
•	Experience with data caching, database tuning, browser performance analysis, memory profiling
•	Experience building and supporting scalable, high quality web applications
•	Experience with a variety of development and testing platforms (PC, Mac, Linux)
•	The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, to take initiative, and to solve problems creatively and positively
•	A desire to learn and be part of something great
 

Responsibilities
•	Build a REST based SOA platform 
•	Write, optimize and troubleshoot code
•	Work in a collaborative environment, maintain excellent communication with all team members
•	Collaborate with Senior UI Designer/Developer, Subject Matter Experts and Developers, to create a high-quality online experience.
•	Follow and promote UI/UX best practices and current Web standards.
•	Create high-quality user experiences from graphic design deliverables and functional specifications.
•	Design visually compelling and highly usable interfaces and components.
•	Create UI deliverables and quality web applications, write, troubleshoot code, and optimize front-end code for display in multiple browsers, systems and platforms.
•	Collaborate with Senior UI Designer/Developer, Subject Matter Experts and Developers, to create a high-quality online experience.
•	Follow and promote UI/UX best practices and current Web standards.
•	Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
•	Proactively offer and apply/develop suggestions and solutions to UI/UX problems
•	The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, to take initiative, and to solve problems creatively and positively.
•	Great attitude and the ability to handle change.





Job Restrictions:

Our client is building one of the sharpest teams around.  We have multiple fulltime / direct hire roles where you will be working on full lifecycle, greenfield development projects....to put it simply you won't be using one line of legacy code.
