A technology client of ours downtown has an immediate opening for a Core Java Developer.  This is slated to be a 3 to 6 month contract to permanent position with a permanent salary of 100K.  Should you be interested, please email me at mmcdill at apexsystemsinc.com.

The Senior Software Engineer position will contribute to Internap's success by designing and developing Web-based software in a multi-tiered environment. Our current environment includes Java and Perl-based applications that interact with Oracle databases, third-party applications running on Linux and Solaris, as well as SaaS applications in the Salesforce.com platform and other commercial platforms. 

Design and build Web-based applications 
Identify and document functional requirements in concert with IT's customers 
Design, develop, and maintain server-side components and APIs to support the development of in-house applications and integration with off-the-shelf systems. These components will be developed as part of our Service Oriented Architecture 
Contribute to the selection, design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure technology (e.g. Web Services, SOA, Enterprise Service Bus, messaging, security, notification, workflow) 
Assist with operational support of applications, data, and databases 
Assist with the evaluation, selection, and integration of new technology into the information systems architecture as Internap continuously strives for systems and process improvement 
Work in a small team environment with Project Managers, Database Administrators, Systems Engineers, Business Analysts, and internal clients 
 Requirements 


Software development in a team environment (5+ years professional experience) 
Understanding of and experience with the full software development lifecycle in a team setting 
Object-oriented design and development 
Java (J2EE/JSP/Servlets), LDAP, SQL, Perl, XML 
Experience collecting requirements from users and interacting with non-technical individuals 
Unix/Linux experience 
Team player, self motivated 
Strong communication and organization skills 
The following skills are highly desired: 

Web Services, XSL, Hibernate, Struts, Salesforce APEX, Informatica PowerExchange
