ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Define, design, implement and test software applications using a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to: Java/J2EE, Oracle PL/SQL, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, Ruby, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML and scripting languages. 

· Assist team members in design discussions and decisions. 

· Perform code and design reviews with other team members. 

· Evaluate new technologies, and asses their benefits to our product stack. 

· Serve as a mentor and advisor to other team members. The mentor role can be both formally requested by the individual's manager as well as personally driven when a need or opportunity is observed. 

· Interact with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to define test plans and test data; identify reproduce and document defects; fix and verify defects. 

· Interact daily with Product Management team to clarify requirements or suggest changes during the implementation of the enhancements. 

· Interact with the User Experience (UX) team to identify, design and implement the user interface portions of the applications. 

  



















QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

· Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in advanced Java programming, including JSP, Servlet, JDBC and application servers required 

· Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate required 

· Proficiency with HTML and JavaScript/Ajax required 

· TestNG or other unit testing methodologies preferred 

· Proficiency with dynamic languages such as Ruby, Groovy etc. preferred 

· Basic database design required 

· Stored procedure writing, PL/SQL preferred 

· Agile and/or Scrum experience desired 

· Struts or GWT preferred 

· Agile product development experience preferred 

· Scrum Master Certification (or similar Agile certification) a plus
