Title:				Web Development Team Lead
Classification:		Exempt
Immediate Supervisor: 	Director, eCommerce
Department:   		Information Technology


Responsibilities:
•	Lead a combined team of onshore and offshore software engineers in all phases of the software development lifecycle
•	Provide technical and architectural guidance and mentoring to members of the team
•	Work with your supervisor and other senior engineers to establish and implement Agile development best practices
•	Work closely with senior management and business owners to define application and system requirements for new products and product enhancements
•	Design, develop, and document software components, including HTML and Flex based web UIs and JEE-based middleware.
•	Research and identify key technologies and systems that will enable Cbeyond to remain competitive in our industry

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required
•	5 plus years software development experience
•	2 plus years of team leadership experience
•	Strong experience developing application with Java Enterprise Edition technologies including Flash/Flex, JSP, servlets and web services 
•	Significant experience with JBoss, Weblogic or other Java Enterprise Edition application servers 
•	Significant experience developing data-driven applications that utilize Oracle or MySQL
•	Ability to lead team of developers, assign tasks and monitor status 
•	Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•	Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•	Self starter who can work effectively independently as well as in cross functional team environments

Desired
•	Technical undergraduate / graduate degree
•	Telecommunications industry knowledge
•	Experience using Hibernate, JPA, or other ORM tools
•	Experience with Adobe Flex, Flash or other Web 2.0 technologies
•	Experience with Struts, Spring MVC or similar Java MVC frameworks
•	Experience developing or leading development of dynamic HTML and CSS based web applications
