We're an XP shop (and yes, it is a religion here). That means TDD,
pair programming, and 2 week iterations (among other things). We don't
suffer from the usual 'Chinese fire drill' development process where
everyone runs around, little is accomplished, and customer
expectations are not met.

Our work environment enjoys fast PCs with dual large screens. In our
office, we enjoy windows on two sides and a massive white board on a
third. There are no cubes farms here. There are no massive quantities
of overtime and no hero coding. We work as a team. We enjoy a stable
work week. We design and code with few meetings. Yes, we've read
DeMarco and Lister. We care about Software Craftsmanship.

We create a mission-critical customer-facing distributed system that
powers some of the biggest names in the theater industry. Our systems
are operated by thousands of users on thousands of computers on a
daily business.

Our software suite runs over 20,000 unit tests in under 60 seconds -
and that's before we even start talking about the functional and
acceptance tests. Yes, we like Uncle Bob, Fowler, Beck, and Evans
(among others). Our Quality Engineering group is first class, on the
same level as development here at Allure. Did I mention we care about
software quality?

Our software is written mostly in Java, but we have lots of Ruby code
(and a little bash) too for testing and software distribution support.
Our system runs on both Windows and Linux.

Besides the Java and Ruby, knowledge in the following technologies are
a plus: RESTful web services, TCP/IP basics, Cygwin, JBoss, WebLogic,
Tomcat, and Relational Databases. If you don't know Java, but you've
got OO experience and you care about Software Craftsmanship, you're
welcome here too.

We don't add developers often, and they don't leave often. Our average
tenure is over 5 years, and the last team change was over 18 months
ago.
