We’re looking for a self-motivated developer who wants to join Elemica in creating an industry-leading trading partner community network using cutting-edge Web 2.0 technology and concepts of social media! We need someone who lives for R&D and extremely rapid prototyping and delivery.  This is an opportunity to work on a challenging green field project with a great team, a high level of autonomy, and sound software development methodologies (TDD/BDD, automated testing, continuous integration and more).

 
Required Skills:

·         Excellent communication skills, creative, and innovative

·         1-2 years professional experience delivering server-side web applications in Java or an equivalent OO language


·         Strong knowledge of JavaScript

·         Strong knowledge of XML

·         Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles

·         Familiarity with CSS and X/HTML

·         Familiarity with relational database principles and social networking concepts and framework


 

Desirable Skills:

·         Experience with REST-ful web services

·         Linux/Unix 

·         Other JVM languages (especially Scala)

·         Social media experience

·         3+ years experience delivering server-side web applications

·         High-performance distributed application (clustered/cloud) programming experience

·         NOSQL experience

·         Enterprise integration experience
