Title:  Software Engineer (Ruby or PHP or Java or Python or Perl) 

Location:  Atlanta, GA (local candidates preferred) 

Duration/Terms:  Permanent / Direct-hire / Full-time 



A Thompson Technologies client, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking Software Engineers with a passion for technology to join their high tech development team of Ruby on Rails Developers. To qualify, developers must have a minimum 3 years of software development experience and at least a year of Ruby or PHP or Java or Python or Perl programming experience building scalable, high performance web applications. 



Responsibilities:

Participate in the design and coding of end-to-end applications including database models, application logic, and presentation layers 
Work with the Marketing Team and other non-development groups to engage consumers using social media 
Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of software development experience
Minimum 1 year of programming using Ruby or PHP or Java or Python or Perl
Proficiency at optimizing SQL queries 
Proficiency using web technologies to include JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, XML, and able to write standards compliant HTML and CSS
