The leading provider of educational software is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer. This is a full-time/permanent opportunity in the Perimeter area. You will create the next generation of industry leading software products that will make a difference in children’s lives! 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•	Develop web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.

•	Should also have a strong understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development.

•	Mindset for hard-nosed engineering is essential - you should love code. It should be your friend.

•	Work closely with other parts of the organization (QA, Product Management) to build world class products.


Key Qualifications 

•	7+ years of directly related experience in building web applications.

•	Strong experience with building applications using open source technologies like Spring, Hibernate, Struts etc.

•	Prior experience working in an agile development environment.

•	Strong experience writing automated test cases (unit and regression)

•	Experience with RIA technologies like Silverlight or Flex is a plus.

•	Hands on experience writing SQL queries 

•	Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills
