Our client's business unit is implementing a project to take their existing tools and enhance them with new branding, new features, and better performance. The purpose is to grow their clients from the current level of 400 to 2,500 by leveraging their existing client base and providing the tools, in many cases, at reduced or zero fees. Even at no direct income, getting the clients access to the tools will provide up-sell and cross-sell opportunities that exceed potential direct revenue.

Technical Overview
They're moving from a fairly simple JSP/servlet web application that's run entirely inside the servlet container to a new enterprise application that's built on the Seam framework; so that requires Hibernate and JSF experience, and they're using EJB3 session and entity beans. These are relatively new technologies to us, so we need someone who can look at the architecture that they've put together with a critical eye toward improvements. Ideally, then, to flesh out skills within the team, this position should have a deep understanding of Seam's capabilities with a focus on the business logic, database, and other backend layers.

Required Skills
* Strong understanding of, and development experience with, Java Enterprise Edition technologies (EJB3, servlet, JSF, JSP, etc.);
* Proficiency developing Seam 2.1+ applications, particularly in a JSF/Hibernate/EJB3 configuration;
* RDBMS and SQL skills, specifically with SQL Server 2005+;
* Previous development experience on a JEE application server (preferably JBoss) in a clustered environment;
* Experience with Linux and Windows;
* Development with Eclipse/JBoss Developer Studio, CVS, and Ant.
