A client of ours in the Duluth area has an immediate opening for a Core Java Developer.  This is a rapidly growing company within a cutting edge industry.  All potential candidates must either have their EAD, GC, or US Citizenship.  This is slated to be a 6 month contract to permanent position.

Software engineer needed to develop leading-edge application and infrastructure software. Software components created will perform: delivery of content to streaming devices, asset management, advertising management and network management. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and installation at customer sites.  Several prototypes will be created to demonstrate feasibility of developed components and overall system.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

The following skills are required to be considered for this position:

-5+ years experience developing Core Java software in a Unix environment 
-5+ years experience developing Java applications, JPA, Toplink/Hibernate, Oracle, Ant/maven/ivy/builder, CVS/Clearcase 
-2+ years Experience developing Java web applications, JSF, JSP/Servlet, Struts, Axis/Metro Web Services 
-Experience developing distributed software systems 
-Strong interpersonal and communications skills and an ability to understand and articulate complex ideas and concepts in both verbal and written form 
-Motivated self-staring individual; Team player

DESIRED SKILLS:

The following skills are desirable in a candidate applying for this position:

-2+ years developing C/C++ software 
-Understanding of network programming (sockets, TCP/IP, UDP) 
-SNMP, scripting languages (JavaScript, Perl, Python, etc.) 
-Experience with Agile or the Rational Unified Process (RUP) 
-Experience using UML
