Java Developers

Java Developers in Huntsville, AL or Atlanta, GA area. Long term contract positions with Defense and Aerospace Systems leader. Local candidates are preferred. US Citizens are encouraged to apply.  Position may require an Interim Secret to start.

- Job Description

Java Developer with 4 to 8 years of experience in software engineering, Air Defense Software, weapon systems, battle management, with the following tools and technologies:

* Tasks involve UOR specific requirements analysis, software design modifications, coding, and support of software test and system test activities of a modified battle management command and control software application. 

* Preferred candidates would have recent domain expertise in air defense software development, JAVA programming and CORBA architecture and a proven track record in small group engineering teams.

- Required Skills:

* Minimum four years experience with Agile and full Software Development Cycle. 

* Minimum four years experience with the UML methodology, requirements development and traceability, and related CASE tools highly desired. 

* Minimum four years experience with the following technologies:  JAVA SE, Java Swing, Hibernate, XML, OpenMap, LuciadMap, CORBA (JacORB), UML Modeling. 

* Minimum four years experience with requirements analysis (Creation of use cases and derivation of software requirements). 

* Minimum four years experience in software Design (domain modeling, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, state diagrams, software design patterns). 

* Minimum four years experience in software Test (creation, documentation, and execution of unit and component tests).

- Additional Skills:

Eclipse IDE, Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest, IBM Rhapsody Gateway, Java RMI, Sockets TCP/IP, Understanding of network protocol stack, GUI development with third party mapping tools (Lucaid), OpenMap, Log4J, JTest, Abbott, MySQL, JXTA, XStream.
