Growing company in Perimeter area looking for a J2EE Engineer. Responsiblities include:

Develop Java-based J2EE applications including design and implementation of new architecture and applications; 
Work in a team environment with business and QA analysts; 
Ensure system capacity, performance and failure recovery architecture including design and execution of non-functional tests; 
Supporting production troubleshooting and patches; 
Follow company software development processes and standards; 
Study new technology and remain technically current; 
Mentor developers on team; 
Provide architectural guidance for clearing systems including margining, risk management, position management, physical deliveries, asset management and electronic banking (SWIFT). 

REQUIREMENTS

Industry 
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Management Information Systems; 
3+ years experience with Windows, Solaris, AIX; 
5+ years experience in the IT industry working in the area of product and/or application development; 
At least one year exposure to financial sector; preferably in back-office trade, position or banking functions for a major Exchange or Clearing participant or Clearinghouse 
Technology Requirements 
Strong knowledge and experience in team development using Java; 
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, and deliver production quality software within tight schedules; 
3+ years as senior Java or J2EE developer, preferably on one or more large, highly transactional systems deployed and used in production; 
Strong working knowledge is required in each of the following: Java, J2EE technologies, Java Servlets, JSP, JMS, JDBC and distributed computing; 
Strong working knowledge of messaging middleware, OO design concepts and design patterns; 
Proficient with database development concepts (SQL, PL/SQL, views, etc), understanding of troubleshooting strategies to system-level and application-level contention. 
Technology Preferences 
Working knowledge in any of the following preferred: Adobe Flex, Flex Remoting - BlazeDS, Flex MVC - Cairngorm, Spring MVC, JBoss, IBM MQ 
Experience with Open-Source Technologies required(e.g.: Hibernate, iBATIS, Jakarta Commons, Spring Framework, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse, JMX, Ant); 
Good working knowledge of software testing and building high quality software; Experience with software testing tools, regression testing, performance testing, a plus; 
Good verbal and written communication skills, with proven track record of producing and reviewing use cases, providing estimates, and organizing tasks; proficient in written design skills including Software Architecture Documentation utilizing UML, Sequence Diagrams, State Charts, component model diagrams, etc. 
Experience with security packages such as JAAS, SSL, JNDI/LDAP, etc., a plus; 
Familiarity with RUP and/or Agile development processes a plus
