Rapidly growing Internet managed services provider seeks experienced Java Developer who has experience architecting, designing, and developing web based and backend tools and solutions. Position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a custom built solutions, as well as testing backend systems and tools for the company’s online service offerings.

General Skills: 
•	Understanding of the SDLC process.
•	Strong analytical skills.
•	Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
•	Strong interpersonal skills in working with other developers and operational IT end users.

Functional Skills:
•	Interpreting written application requirements and applying sound programming practices to developing backend tools and services for large volume online services.
•	Maintaining skills in state of the art internet application practices & applying them to projects when justified by their stability, productivity & cost effectiveness.
•	Participating as a team member in a formal development lifecycle and release control process.
•	Ability to lead a team when required, while still performing code development duties.
 
Required Technical Skills: 
•	Unix/Linux operating systems experience.
•	4+ years Java programming language.
•	SQL-based Relational Databases (Oracle or MySQL). 

Education: BS or higher required.

Responsibilities: 
1.	The development of robust, secure, Java-language backend tools for various data transformation needs including inbound and outbound data feeds.
2.	The development of robust, secure, Java-language Web based tools and processes.
3.	The protection of company intellectual property from accidental loss, malicious damage, or theft.

Report To: Director of Product Development.
