A client of ours in the Perimeter/Sandy Springs area has an immediate opening for a Solutions Architect.  This will be a W2 contract to permanent opportunity.  They are looking for Architect level candidates with heavy Java, J2EE, and IBM product line (Websphere, RAD, Portal) experience.  Candidates MUST be comfortable doing some coding despite being on an Architecture team.  

Job Description:
60% Strategy / 40% Coding
Determines specifications, then plans, designs, and develops the most complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes-either individually or in concert with project team
· Designs and produces detailed technical architecture guidelines and standards for the use of relevant core technologies and protocols
· Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business
· Assists in troubleshooting the most difficult and mission-critical technical problems
· Acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor and change agent
· Develop application and custom integration solutions including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features.
· Act as highest level technical expert, addressing problems of application integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. 
· Makes decisions, sets priorities, or chooses goals on the basis of calculated inputs and outputs. 
· Analyzes for business outcomes by considering costs and benefits. 
 
Skills required:
Java, J2EE, Websphere, WID, RAD, SOA, JSF, webservices, Portal development, high transaction applications, experience developing a product, component based programming
