SUMMARY
The Senior Architect drives the long term architectural and technology roadmap for InComm’s software efforts.  The Senior Architect makes chief design and technology decisions and is capable of leading a small team of implementation focused developers. 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.	Drive architecture and technology planning and solutions in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
2.	Contribute to defining the strategic direction for the business based upon a clear understanding of customer requirements and industry capabilities.  
3.	Ensure the business leaders are clearly aware of technology industry trends, and current execution against these trends
4.	Assist in defining development solutions
5.	Notify BA of conflicts in requirements and real world implementation
6.	Create design documents
7.	Support the creation and modification of the development process
8.	Continuously identify opportunities for improved efficiencies
9.	Unit test code
10.	Review business requirements with customer IT group to validate implementation solution and gather technical details needed to complete tasks
11.	Raise relevant topics for staff level discussion and resolution
12.	Coordinate architecture and planning related activities across IT groups
13.	Closely interact with a business team as requirements are developed and documented
14.	Excels in a complex development environment creating dynamic cutting edge solutions
15.	Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
  
  
QUALIFICATIONS
1.	Minimum 7+ years experience in applications programming and sound software development processes
2.	Bachelor’s degree in CIS or MIS; MOT preferred or equivalent work experience
3.	Ability to lead a small team of developers
4.	3+ years software architecture experience 
5.	Experience in navigating cross-functional teams
6.	Effective verbal and written communications 
7.	Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work with innovative solutions
8.	Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and understand key issues quickly
9.	Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple deadlines
10.	Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
  
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office/manufacturing environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
