We are looking for a Java Developer with strong analytical programming knowledge to establish themselves in a high energy startup environment. The successful candidate will have had 3+ years of hands on experience with Servlets, Struts, Hibernate, and Web Services. The candidate needs to be a quick learner, hard worker, and a highly motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.  This opportunity will allow the individual to gain experience across the entire technology stack including hardware and networking.  If you are not a self starter or quick learner, you will not do well in this environment.  Travel will be up to 20%.

 

General Skills

 

1.      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

2.      At least 3 years of hands-on software development experience. 

3.      At least 2 years of Java and Object-Oriented software development experience.

4.      Ability to work with clients, gather business requirements and develop technical requirements

5.      Experience with Agile software development methodologies

6.      Strong written and verbal communication skills




Job Restrictions:
----------------

Required Technical Skills

1.      OO design and development experience

2.      Experience with Java, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, SOAP, HTML, and JavaScript

3.      Working knowledge of J2EE technologies 

4.      Experience with 2 or more of the following frameworks :

a.       Struts

b.      Spring

c.       Hibernate 

d.      JasperReports

e.       Apache Axis2

f.       JUnit

5.      Working knowledge of several relational databases (MySQL, MS SQL 2000+, Oracle)

Other Preferred Technical Skills

 

Working knowledge of JBoss 4.0+ 
JMS architecture 
Knowledge of the Eclipse development environment 
Knowledge of the CVS source control environment 
Knowledge of other popular open source frameworks 
Knowledge of performance testing and tuning
