SolTech, Atlanta's premier software development firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level java developer to provide creative and consultative solutions to both external and internal clients. A large portion of this role will involve providing Jr Application Developers with support in the software development life cycle including: mentoring, training, and assisting Jr Application Developers with development efforts. Daily tasks and support resources in this role will include: application development, client implementation support, incident reporting, testing and deployment, training and mentoring, and other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities
-Creating Workflows and Business Objects 
-Analyze requirements, technical documentation, and create prototypes
-Assist in analyzing and defining improvements for the development and testing processes, technologies, and methodologies
-Assist with periodic code reviews on functionality created by Jr Application Developers and offer suggestions for improvement, feedback, and training support
-Participate in prototyping(design)discussion and reviews
-Responsible for unit testing of work output
-Participate in production deployments when assigned
-Support troubleshooting of proprietary and non-proprietary application issues 
-Track and document issues (defects, risks, etc) using the approved CRM/Defect Management tool
-Interact with other departments and teams as necessary
-Subject matter expert related to Expense Management Automation
-Responsible to participate in cross-training within the team
-Support other tasks or duties that may be required
-Accept new assignments willingly and enthusiastically

Requirements
-Experience with application software development and testing
-Experience with J2EE, Java, Spring, JQuery.
-Ability to grasp technology, customer applications, internal processes and procedures 
-Good people skills and capable of mentoring and training
-Strong and creative technical problem solving skills; ability to understand the big picture and offer technical suggestions and feedback to improve the tools and processes
-Able to handle rapidly changing environment
-Enthusiasm and consistency in performance 
-Ability to grasp travel GDS and technology systems  
-Self motivated, able to work independently and able to multi-task
-Strong attention to detail   
-Utilize company-provided training and individual effort to continue growth of industry-specific knowledge
-Good people skills, capable of impacting others attitudes and opinions

Education and/or Experience
-A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
-Professional experience in J2EE platform and Java
-Knowledge and understanding of Web Application Architecture and Web Interfaces
-Knowledge and understanding of XML
-Software Development Methodology experience
-Working knowledge of all MS applications including Word, MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices a plus
-3+ years of software development experience 
-Travel or financial experience is a plus
