Job Description:
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry is seeking a Application Support Developer.  This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to get their "foot in the door" with a great company.

Position Summary:  Responsible for resolving daily operational issues with our products and developing support applications for Manheim.com

Position Responsibilities: 
• Analyze production issues and bring to a resolution
• Communicate production status to all Manheim stakeholders
• Develop support applications to help diagnose online problems
• Communicate with Software Development team any possible functionality issues
• Document common production issues on our Wiki with possible solutions
• Develop, test, and maintain software applications or features.
• Assist in software design.
• Develop software to meet functional and technical requirements.  
• Develop and perform unit and integration tests.
• Write code and develop expertise in the necessary programming languages, tools, and platforms.
• Write simple database queries.
• Document software requirements, designs, tests, etc.
• Help others in problem-solving and development tasks.
• Work with others to ensure quality software is developed and to meet company objectives. 
• Follow and suggest improvements to company and department standards, policies, and procedures.
• Take active role in professional development.
• Perform other duties as specified by supervisor.

Qualifications: 
• Degree in computer science
• Excellent GPA from a strong technical school
• 1 to 2 years professional software development experience.
• Experience in programming languages, tools, and platforms related to position a plus.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills for working with other members of project team.
• Strong verbal communication skills and an ability to express complex technical concepts in clear, concise manner.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology.
• Experience programming in Java
• Experience writing database queries in SQL a plus.
• Basic experience with the Unix environment a plus

This is a contract position for 6-12 month duration with renewal possibilities.  This position offers an excellent bill rate for the right candidate.
