Job Description:
The primary responsibilities of this position involves Java/J2EE development for a large, web-based, call center application which supports multiple call centers in the U.S.  Secondary responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of customer facing web applications in support of various clients as well as application support responsibilities.  Equally important to primary/secondary responsibilities is the application support overhead for the web development team.  Application support accounts for approximately 50% of developer’s time overall.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 3+ years experience with solid hands-on development in a large, commercial-grade web application development environment (100 or more users).  Experience with commercial IDE/Application Server as well as Struts/MVC is key and candidate should have the ability to comprehend and apply new technologies as well.  They will actively participate in design discussions and work directly with other team members to define technical requirements and coordinate project goals.  

The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced, team environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver projects within specified deadlines.  The development environment consists of Websphere 6.0/RAD6, Java/J2EE, Struts/EJB, Spring MVC/Hibernate, and Oracle.


Prerequisites:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Effective Communication Skills.

Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, MVC, Struts/Tiles, JavaScript, XML, Oracle, Websphere (WSAD), Design Patterns, Proficient with RDBMS.

Preferred Skills:
Java Certification, PLSQL, EJB, Spring, Hibernate, AJAX, XSL/T, .Net, Flash, Adobe Flex, RAD6.0, database query optimization/tuning, AS400.
