Primary Responsibilities:

Java Developer REPORTS TO: SW Development Manager LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA Description: Design, develop, implement, maintain, and document, Java-based components requiring heavy database interaction (and some .NET/C#). The current development team is small, fast, flexible, and has a proud and successful track record. Although the team is small with the benefits of a start-up atmosphere, the parent company has great resources providing quality tools, training, and first-class employee benefits.. Objectives: • •Design software systems and components. • •Implement and test new software designs. • •Prepare various documents including specifications, detailed design descriptions and reports. • •Manage updates to deployments of the group’s software. • •Track software-related task progress in various information and issue tracking systems.     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Requirements: • Candidates for this position should possess a BS in Computer Science and 5 plus years of experience or an MS in Computer Science with 3 or more years of experience. • Experience should include 3+ years with the following development technologies: Java and SQL(MS SQL or Oracle). Database Experience should involve solving problems with large data stores and the resulting storage and performance issues. • Experience with other technologies: JMS Hibernate, Spring, C# and .Net a plus.
