Job Description: We are redesigning and migrating its current Internet Site from Vignette 6 to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 and is in need of a SharePoint Architect with strong experience in designing a portal structure in MOSS 2007. The SharePoint Architect will work closely with the Project Manager, SharePoint Web Developer, SharePoint Administrator, Web Information Analyst, Graphic Artist, and developers to understand the requirements for the site redesign and build an extensible architecture to support these requirements. The SharePoint Architect will work closely with the Web Information Analyst to design, with respect to the current SharePoint implementation, a wireframe and provide a proof of concept of the overall design. The SharePoint Architect will support the SharePoint Web Developer to implement the design based on the proof of concept. The SharePoint Architect will assist the project team in providing input to the Project Manager for project planning and reporting, and budget estimates. 

 

Required Experience: 

• 8 year experience in overall IT experience 

• 4 years with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/ WSS 3.0 and SPS 2003/WSS 2.0 

• 5 years of .NET development 

• Minimum of 2 full cycles of SPS implementations 

• Strong Infrastructure skills 

• Strong SQL Server 2003, and/or 2005 skills 

• 1.5 years SharePoint Designer 

• 5 years experience in system architecture, design patterns, security, web re-engineering, and migration 

• All skill sets should be related to SPS Technologies 

• Excellent Oral and written communication skills 

• Excellent Technical Documentation skills 

 

Deliverables: In the Interview, the applicant must be prepared to discuss 3 examples of SharePoint architectural designs, including diagrams, technical documentation, and/or any other pertinent documentation. 

 

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience working with high-level government or corporate officials and/or primary stakeholders 

• MCSD, MCAD, MCTS (SharePoint)
