Position:  Sr. Database Analyst
Requisition No 10257
 
Location: Alpharetta, Ga
 
Salary: 64K + depending upon experience

Job Responsibilities:
· Evaluates, installs, and maintains database management system (DBMS) software and related software products; 
· Isolates and resolves complex problems utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools;
· Gathers statistics on performance and utilization using diagnostic tools;
· Creates processes and procedures for operational support of DBMS environments;
· Maintains familiarity with and develops a broad understanding of company's current and emerging products and services; 
· In addition, maintains critical data driven tools dependent upon sql including data modeling, stored procedures, DTS, complex data architecture, as well as visual basic, & java, n-tier architecture.                  
· Performs other duties as assigned.



Job Restrictions:

Requirements:
· Be able to recognize and have a developmental understanding of automated data processes, specifically;
o Strong knowledge of relational database concepts
o Advanced knowledge of database Microsoft SQL, MCITP preferred.
o Intermediate to Advanced skill level with database Microsoft Access 
o Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of procedural programming language preferably Java / Visual Basic
o Strong algebra skills (mathematical and logical)
o Strong with Microsoft Excel
· Significant experience resolving business users issues with databases & data driven tools.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong level of customer service skills, ability to apply to internal business teams
· Ability to quickly prioritize tasks to manage a large volume of data analysis and be able to trouble-shoot issues as they arise
· Combination of education and professional level related experience totaling 4 years. IT degree preferred.
