Specifics   
1-2 years experience as a team lead, heavy Front end Web experience, JSP, JSF (a plus), and Struts.  
  
Tasks High
The Team Lead must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design 

Assists multiple team members and other project leads in the day-to-day activities related to project work View software packages, products and define, prioritize, plan and implement solutions across multiple complex projects. 
Provide status reports to Manager and review boards on complex development projects. 
Guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. 
Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards. 
Ensure compliance and conduct appropriate test reviews as necessary. 
Ensures highest quality implementations from design through QA to production Ensures the team comprehends and applies the established processes, policies, standards and procedures. 

Skills  High 

The Team Lead has expert knowledge in three or more programming languages/technologies. 
Mastered understanding of at least one software development life cycle. 
Ability to guide and direct project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs. 
Excellent communication skills. 
Able to translate and present complex technical designs into everyday language. 
Understand multiple business verticals. 
Ability to design solutions across platforms/technologies leveraging reuse wherever possible. 
  
Authority/Autonomy - High 

This level has responsibility/accountability for assigned projects and tasks.   
This level is also accountable for all development project tasks on assigned projects regardless of who is executing them.   
Code should be reviewed by architect when necessary. 
Requires little guidance/direction on projects. 
Track time weekly. 
Mentor and coach junior Software Engineers through usage of development tools, best practices, programming methodologies. 
Participate and conduct training, team building, and volunteer events. 
Contribute feedback for junior level team member performance reviews. 
Requires little guidance/direction on projects.
