A Thompson Technologies client has a full-time opportunity for a Java Software Engineer, for an integration systems project.  The Java Developer will be performing a full range of architectural, design, and development tasks.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in architecture, design, and development of integration systems 
- Develop applications using Java/Visual Basic/Oracle 
- Participate in release planning and system deployment 
- Interact with other teams to define interfaces and understand dependencies 
- Assist Quality Management team to ensure execution of the test plans, perform application testing, tracking bugs and performance issues 
- Report project progress and status to all levels of management and team 

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Java/Visual Basic/Oracle development skills 
- Experience with voice communication systems, and computer-telephony integration preferred 
- Full-life cycle development experience using structured development methodologies 
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
- 3 to 5 years of software development experience 
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience required 
- Strong desire to learn and work with multiple applications, tools and technologies
