Web Developer

Our client has an immediate need for a Web Developer with an extensive knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS and Joomla/Mambo for their in-house team in Norcross, Georgia. This position is responsible for the development, creation, and maintenance of web site applications, web content, email campaigns and other online projects. 

Responsibilities


Develop new features and support existing features for family of school web sites. 
Work closely with the web team and marketing to ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects. 
Content updates and maintenance to web site. 
Email campaign set up, delivery and monitoring through email cms. 
Debug and fix issues with HTML, PHP, Javascript, CSS codes. 
Analyze requirements for, design, and implement modular systems and templates. 
Provide reliable and accurate time estimates for tasks. 
Work quickly and efficiently. 
Document systems thoroughly, in terms of code, design and implementation. 
 
 
Required Skills 
4+ years experience in web development 
Hands-on HTML, DHTML, and CSS coding proficiency 
Core-coding experience with open-source applications Joomla/Mambo 
Experience working within Javascript and PHP/MySQL framework 
Skilled with Mac-based Dreamweaver, Fireworks/Photoshop 
Up-to-date on contemporary web design, architecture principles and techniques

Education 
Bachelor's degree in computer science, design or related discipline 
 
 
Desired Skills 
Pluses: Web design; Flash; AJAX; working knowledge of WordPress and phpBB 
 
 
Non-Tech Skills 
Self-motivated, able to juggle multiple projects at once 
Creative ability, aesthetics, and layout 
Superior organizational skills 
Ability to give and receive feedback on your work
