Description
This position will develop, implement, maintain, and document, Java-based applications for commercial deployment purposes. Essential functions, skills and abilities include:

•	Implement and test new software designs under the direction of lead developers.
•	Document processes, procedures, and written code.
•	Debug issues with software written by the candidate and other developers.
•	Track software-related task progress in various information and issue tracking systems.
•	Ability to interpret and convey technical concepts in an easily understood manner, both verbally and in writing.
•	Good analytical and debugging skills; strong software aptitude and creative ability.
•	Good organizational skills.
•	Self-motivated; ability to work under general supervision; receptive and supportive of team efforts.

Qualifications
Candidates for this position should possess a BS in Computer Science and 2 plus years of experience or an MS in Computer Science.  Experience should include working familiarity with the following development technologies: Java, Spring, SQL, JDBC, Hibernate, and JMS; and professional experience with network application programming techniques, like: routing and message queuing. Experience developing software in a UNIX/Linux environment using standard source code control and issue tracking techniques is highly desirable.
