Our customer is headquartered in Alpharetta, GA and is one of the largest wireless companies in the country. They are looking for a senior Java developer to join their team on a long-term project in the Alpharetta Office. 
Project Description: 

Regulatory rules require our customer to report their activity to the government on a regular basis. Currently there is a Powerbuilder application running on a Sybase database that keeps all of the records. Our customer wants to convert that old Powerbuilder application to a pure Java / SWING / Oracle application. Additionally; the team will be using java webstart to launch the application. SWING will be used to create the front end user interface, pure core Java will be used in the middle tier for the business logic, and JDBC will be used to connect directly to an Oracle 10 database. The application will run a Solaris box. 

The framework for the application is already built - they need a strong developer to come in and code!!! This is a 100% execution position and the senior consultant will be expected to hit the ground running and contribute to the project very early on in the process. There are currently three developers on the project and the team is expected to grown by 2 - 3 more. The senior developers on the project have a wealth of experience with the current application and are acting as Business Analysts / Developers - creating specs from the current application that will coded in Java. 

This is a multi-year project and our customer needs top talent to get the project off the ground.
