Major Position Responsibilities:

This position is expected to provide leadership in the implementation of large complex J2EE applications. In this position, the candidate is expected to customize and implement a complex J2EE application that is housed on a UNIX platform. The candidate will be responsible for leading the customization of Java-base application with a focus on core application modifications, security, rules, and configuration management. This requires that the candidate must be able to lead a team of people, perform analysis, and work interactively with customers. 

REQUIRED:(MINIMUM)
The technical designer is a hands-on senior level developer with the following experience: 

• 5-10 years of I/T experience on a variety of platforms and technologies with at least 3 years of building large complex N-Tier/SOA web-based business applications using J2EE 
• Proven track-record of design and development of large, complex, transaction oriented, mission critical business systems and the ability to troubleshoot and tune such systems
• Professional hands-on experience with designing and developing applications using Java, Web-Services, EJB, and Servlets in a UNIX environment
• Detailed understanding and usage of common object-oriented design patterns
• Professional hands-on experience using an iterative development methodology such as Rational Unified Process
• Professional hands-on experience using IBM Rational Development Tool product suite 
• WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Process Server experience
• Ability to work a virtual team of individuals who may report administratively to other departments
• Ability to lead other developers while being personally responsible for developing services
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Strong web-security knowledge and experience as well as experience integrating with back-end systems
• The position routinely works under demanding deadlines and often handles heavy workloads, operating with only limited supervision 
• Some travel should be expected, typically up to 25%
