The successful candidate will join the team creating our flagship product, WebCTRL. WebCTRL is a user-friendly, powerful web application used as a building automation system worldwide. We work in a dynamic, collaborative team environment that has consistently created innovative and market leading solutions. We are looking for a senior software engineer to help create both client and server components for WebCTRL's web based user interface.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Design and develop new features or enhancements to the WebCTRL User Interface layer that includes the following: 

Develop high quality software using object oriented design and programming techniques Create Software solutions in Java, Javascript, HTML, and other web based technologies as appropriate
Serve as a technical lead including developing architectures for new feature development
Maintain or make improvements to existing code base with appropriate refactoring and unit Testing focusing on improving performance, scalability and user experience 
Debug and resolve problems identified by other team members, testers, or tech support
Work with a wide range of J2EE and Web technologies with an opportunity to utilize and Contribute to the open source community
Develop unit tests and assist QA in writing test plans and documentation

The successful candidate will be well organized with good time management skills.  This position requires excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in an agile work environment.


BA/BS degree with 7 or more years applicable experience 
MA/MS degree with 5 or more years applicable experience 

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must be passionate about developing a quality, user-friendly web application
Solid Java programming skills
Java Servlets and JSP, Java based Web Application experience, Ajax, XML / XSL, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, and Usability Training skills 
Excellent object oriented design skills, and an extensive knowledge of HTML
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment 
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic environment
