Sapphire Technologies is looking for a Java Architect to fulfill a permanent position in Kennesaw, GA.  The candidate will be doing almost 100% architecture and should have at least 5 years of Java Development / Architecture experience.  The candidate must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.
 
Job Description: Works with other members of the architecture team to design and help develop applications that meet the needs of the business. 

Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, and/or maintain complex business applications 
•Write and review technical specifications 
•Review and compare products/technologies 
•Develop reusable software components and framework components 
•Participate in code and design reviews 
•Troubleshoot problems in development and production environments. 
•Perform productions support. 
•Estimate design and development tasks 
•Mentor and teach less experienced team members 
•Prepare and deliver technical training material 
•Work with product designers, business analysts, developers and quality assurance team members to deliver business applications

Minimum Qualifications:
 
•5 Years of Java Experience 
•3 Years of J2EE Experience 
•Strong UML skills 
•Strong SQL skills 
•Experience with HTML, JavaScript, XML, Ant, Patterns, Version Control Systems
•MS Office proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with: 
oSybase ASA, JBos,s Hibernate or other POJO persistence, Rational Rose, SOAP, VSS Security: Application, Network, and System Regular Expressions, CORBA
•Unix: Administrator level experience 
oShell scripting
•Knowledge of supply chain processes (product, supplier, DCs) 
•Project management experience - estimating, planning, and controlling/execution
