Job ID: 2131
Job Title: Weblogic Portal Developer - Sr. Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Business Name: Anteo Group
Email: eberman at anteogroup.com
Job Description:
----------------
Our customer is a large financial institution headquartered in Midtown Atlanta; who serves both local and national banking interests through government backed loans. Established by Congress to support mortgage lending in 1932, our customer provides a stable source of funding to federally insured depository institutions. With net income is excess of $400 million dollars, our customer is a stable - growing entity in the volatile banking industry.
We are currently looking for a top-notch development consultant to join their team on a contract basis for 6 months; with a possibility to extend longer. The customer is in the process of rewriting a large internal application from Weblogic Portal version 6.1 to Weblogic Portal 9.2. The differences between the two versions is quite significant, and experience porting applications to Weblogic 9.2 is very important. The ideal consultant will have experience looking at legacy applications, picking up the logic, then porting that logic into the already established 9.2 framework.
The candidate will join an established team of consultants and full time employees to convert the application to the framework. The current application tracks the movement, qualification, and performance of lenders in the financial industry. This application is used by internal personnel in several departments.
The customer's office is located in MidTown, Atlanta, GA.
Required Skills:
Candidates will need a good knowlege of JSP, java page flows, and entity EJBs. The customer is looking for a really sharp candidate that knows the above technologies really well than a less sharp candidate with more portal experience. Most of the portal work has already been completed - the environment (including portals, portlets, and infrastructure) will already be laid out for the additional resources, so weblogic portal specific experience has limited value. If the candidate does not have specific page flow experience, a good knowledge of STRUTS (actually understanding detailed underpinnings) would certainly help, as the pageflow beehive stuff is a STRUTS extension A strong background of JSP's, Javascript, HTML, XML and Weblogic is important for this role.
