Java/J2EE/Ajax Software Engineer


We are currently seeking enthusiastic and qualified Java developers for a software engineering opportunity in Alpharetta.  Our client has a great product, is an industry leader and their company is publicly traded.  Their corporate headquarters is located in Alpharetta, but they operate globally and have numerous locations throughout the world.  We are looking for someone with professional development experience with Java in a Unix environment.

This is a permanent position; daily requirements involve development of new products along with enhancement of existing products.  The respective engineer will have the opportunity to enhance his/her development skills in Java.  This is a challenging environment where you will be expected to contribute with your ideas and technical skills.  Any background with networking (triggers, sockets, etc.) is ideal.  

Java/J2EE/Ajax Software Engineer

•3 years experience or above 
•5 years experience or above for senior position
•Core Languages: Java 1.4 or above.
•Excellent knowledge of Web Development, client-server programming.
•Strong experience with human factor design.
•Strong in using framework and Libraries including:
     oApache Struts 2 and above
     oSpring Framework 
     oHibernate, iBatis ORM.
•Excellent dynamic client side script – Javascript, AJAX, DHTML, HTML, CSS.
•Excellent  J2EE knowledge in: JDBC, Servlets, JSP, JAXP, JNDI, JavaMail, LDAP
•Strong in RDBMS: SQL DML and DDL.
•Required good knowledge in OS: Unix
•Strong in Design Pattens (GoF/J2EE)
•IDE/ Tools: Eclipse, MyEclipse, IntelliJ IDEA
•Must have good knowledge of: HTTP/HTTPs
•Will be a plus if have good knowledge of these protocols: TCP/IP, RMI/IIOP, SMTP, MIME.
•Effective Communication skills and a team player.
•Self-motivated and like challenging work.

Ajax Focus
•At least one real world project involves extensive usage of Ajax.
•Knowledge of development techniques in building web-based dynamic data driven graphical user interfaces using Ajax and XML frameworks.  
•Experience of using JSON in Ajax programming.
•Familiarity with various Web Remoting Techniques, Programming techniques for DOM Manipulation, Web Page Performance Optimization, cross browser widget development is highly desirable.
•Experience with Ajax frameworks/tools/IDEs (such as ExtJS, DOJO, Prototype), DOM Inspectors, Traffic Sniffers, JavaScript debuggers is preferred.
•Experience in event based JavaScript programming. Understanding of asynchronous client/server communication.
