Overview: 
The RSA R&D team in Research Triangle Park, NC is the centerpiece of the Security Division of EMC that is developing leading edge next generation technology for the fastest growing market segment in enterprise security: Data Loss Prevention (DLP). 

We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated Architect/Lead Software Engineer with hands-on prior experience in driving architectural implementations of complex enterprise Web applications using ORM and Inversion of Control or Dependency injection technologies to join our small world class engineering team. 

You will lead the development of the next generation “Enterprise Manager” product, which provides cutting edge management capabilities for the DLP suite.  As a hands-on architect/leader, you will be involved in all aspects of product development (architecture, detailed design, implementation, and debugging).

Responsibilities:
·	Drive major design decisions of software architecture, strategy and functionality for the DLP Enterprise Manager product
·	Architect, design and implement major features and components based on market requirements 
·	Take ownership of major features and components of the Enterprise Manager software product
·	Work closely with product management, engineering, and QA to deliver industry-leading content protection solutions
·	Write functional and technical specifications
·	Investigate new technologies
·	Perform design, code and unit-test reviews
·	Mentor new and junior engineers

Skills: 
Required Skills: 
·	7+ years of object oriented software development experience in building Java based web applications using POJOs, Spring or equivalent dependency injection framework, Velocity, JavaScript and Hibernate or equivalent ORM technology to interface with an RDBMS, preferably SQL Server and Postgres.
·	High energy, passionate team player
·	Experience in developing distributed applications using Web Services
·	Familiarity with common design patterns
·	Experience using JUnit
·	Self-directed learner driven to build the best customer experience possible
·	Ability to work in a geographically distributed team

Desired Skills:
·	Experience with application servers such as Tomcat and proficiency in Ant
·	Exposure to Lucene and BIRT, or other text search and reporting packages
·	Experience in object oriented design and analysis using Unified Modeling Language (UML) and tools like Enterprise Architect.
·	Experience with the entire product life cycle from inception to general availability


Education: 
·	BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
