We hava an immediate need for six Java Programmers to assist with Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, reduce mainframe capacity requirements and minimize any new development to existing mainframe systems and decommission obsolete MVS applications, processes, reports, databases and tables. 

Required Skills: 

Java with a solid understanding of threads, network communications, application server development 
Spring Framework (implies XML) and IOC/DI; (Understanding of JCA and JAAS security) 
Web service framework (preferable CXF, but experience with Axis or similar framework fine). 
Designing your own XML schema and WSDLs. 
Hibernate (and familiarity with EJB3) 
JUnit 
SubVersion 
Eclipse IDE (although IDEA would be okay) 
Maven 
Ant 

Desired Skills: 

Spring Security (Acegi) 
JCE 
Oracle 10g 
ETL 
JBoss Drools 
Flex3

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Developing and supporting appropriate complex programs and systems documentation according to established IT standards. 
Developing strategies for the continued planning, scheduling, and coordination of system tests for reliability, scalability, and maintainability and monitor test results in order to take or assign required corrective action 
Developing technical solutions to a SOA based environment (web services development) 
Estimating the technical costs related to envisioned solutions (to include the development of interfaces to legacy systems) 
Ensuring that departmental standards are documented, designed, distributed and updated on a regular basis for assigned systems development planning, product performance, support and monitorin 

Requirements


Skill Requirements include but are not limited to:

Demonstrated knowledge of related SOA architectures and development methodologies 
Project architecture using object oriented (OO) analysis and modeling, with emphasis on using responsibility driven use case approach. Expertise in effective application of Agile programming methods such as XP. 
Expertise with J2EE, App Server and Web technologies such as Enterprise Java Beans (EJB), XML/XSL, WDSL, XML/Java Marshalling, Web Services and WS-Security. This includes expertise with server side application servers such as BEA Systems WebLogic, IBM WebSphere and database servers such as Oracle 10G. Exposure to Object-Relational mapping technology using tools such as TopLink and Hibernate. 
Design and implementation of object-oriented software in Java on all major commercial environments including Windows NT/98/95/2000/XP as well as various UNIX platforms (SUN HP, and IBM) including use of Jakarta Ant for the build process and JUnit for unit testing 
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques. 
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence in the software engineering team's knowledge of the customers' business needs. 
Demonstrated proficiency in adapting to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs. 
Demonstrated ability to lead, direct and influence less experienced personnel in the creation of efficient and scalable applications 
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. 
Demonstrated ability to develop estimates of technical solutions
